New Delhi, Dec 8 (India Today) : A 15-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped for over a week, shot twice and dumped in a well to die in a Greater Noida village. But she survived to tell her horrific story.

The girl was kidnapped from outside her house in West Delhi on November 22. She was raped repeatedly inside an abandoned farmhouse in a village in Greater Noida, Times of India reports.

Last Saturday, the trio shot the girl in her chest and abdomen and dumped her in a well thinking she will die. Bleeding profusely, the teenager, who was without any cloth, kept on shouting for help from inside the well throughout the wintry December night.

She was rescued the next morning when a man heard a faint cry coming from the dry, rocky well. Despite being shot twice, the gritty girl had managed to keep herself conscious. "Doctors at the hospital couldn't believe she had survived two bullet wounds overnight," the newspaper quoted the man who rescued the girl from the well, as saying.

In her statement to police, the girl said she had known the main accused Krishan for a few months. They had met at her uncle's grocery. On November 22, the victim was forced inside a car by Krishan when she had stepped out of her house in the evening to buy a SIM card. She was threatened by the three accused - two of them minors - not to raise an alarm.

Police said that Krishan and two minors raped her every time they brought food for her. On Saturday, they promised her to take her home but stopped near a well for a drink. It was here that the girl tried to escape but failed. Krishan caught the victim, thrashed her and shot her twice. But luckily the bullets didn't damage her organs, Greater Noida police station incharge Laxmi Chauhan said.

All the three accused are currently under police custody and a case has been lodged against them.
