Mangalore, Aug 22: The potholes will vanish from the Shiradi Ghat area on the Mangalore-Bangalore NH 48 route within a month.

Muniyappa, the minister of state has agreed to release Rs 5 crore to take up the pothole-filling work, said DV Sadananda Gowda, BJP MP on Tuesday August 21.

In order to conduct the survey, a team from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will visit the Shiradi Ghat area. Gowda had met Saifuddin Soz water resources minister for sea wall construction project, at New Delhi on Tuesday August 21.

    Unbelieveable!!! Promises have been made in the past, nothing has happened. I hope this too does not merely remain a promise only. The whole ghat has been in a deplorable condition for over two years, and no one seems to bother about it. Hope something good will come out of this promise.
