New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS): The second edition of the annual Publishers Training Programme for Young Professionals, which brought renowned industry experts and publishing enthusiasts together, has just concluded in the national capital.
This two-day training programme began on Friday and was hosted by the German Book Office.
Through this programme, publishing experts shared their experience of working in the industry in an age of digital publishing and transmedia content. The techniques of global publishing were also discussed.
"This interface not only took a look at German and international publishing industry but also addressed a major need felt by the young professionals," German Book Office director Prashasti Rastogisaid in a statement.
Publishing experts like Karthika V.K. (Harper Collins), Arpita Das (Authors UpFront), Stefanie Schelleis (Carl Hanser Verlag), Sunandini Banerjee (Seagull Books), Priya Kapoor (Roli Books) among others were part of this programme.
The event had sessions titled 'From Idea to Ink - Commissioning and Pitching in Genre Specific World', 'Trading Rights and Negotiable Copyrights' among others.
