Udupi, August 20: A delegation from the University Medical Centre (UMC) Utrecht, Netherlands visited the Manipal University campus here recently and had a discussion on pursuing a programme of exchange of students, for the purpose of higher studies.

After the discussion both the Universities signed an agreement to exchange students and also make efforts to encourage the interests of students and teachers.

The delegation from Netherlands was highly impressed by the development and teaching imparted at the Manipal campus and expressed their intentions to strengthen academic relations with the University.

UMC CEO and vice president of the Medical Education dept, Dr Geert Bigham, advisor John Borlefs were the members of the delegation and they had fruitful discussions with the Manipal University’s pro-chancellor Dr H S Ballal, chancellor, Dr Vinod Bhat, KMC dean, Dr R S P Rao and others.
