Chennai, Dec 3 (IANS): With Chennai flood-hit like never before and intra-city transport severely impacted, a Bengaluru based individual has offered to foot the hospital bills of pregnant ladies who develop labour pains.

In a posting on Facebook, Aditya Venkatesh said he would take care of the hospital bills and urged the pregnant ladies to go to any hospital including Apollo Hospital for delivery.

Speaking to IANS over telephone, Venkatesh said: "Along with my friends, the hospital bills can be settled. Funds are not an issue."
