CRPF trooper injured in Jammu and Kashmir firing incident


Jammu, Nov 30 (IANS): A paramilitary trooper was injured on Monday in a firing incident in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

"A trooper was injured in a firing incident at a CRPF picket in Malhar (Billawar) area on Monday morning," a police official told IANS here.

The injured CRPF trooper was shifted to a hospital, the police said.

"Further details are waited as reinforcements have been rushed to the spot."

It was not immediately clear whether it was a militant attack or an accidental fire.
