Mangalore, Aug 18: A university-level quiz competition was organized as a part of 60th Independence Day and 150th year of First War of Independence at St Aloysius College on Wednesday August 15.

Prof M Narahari, dean of St Aloysius College was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he said that the younger generation should stop taking bribe and work sincerely, there by laying the foundation for a new system.

Fr Swebert D’Souza, principal of the College presided over the function.

Nearly 45 students from 15 colleges under the Mangalore University participated in the quiz which was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS), Puttur.

Vivekananda College stood first and Besant Women’ College won the second prize in the copetition.
