Mangalore, Aug 18: A woman who put workers into hardship by not paying their salaries was taken into custody by Pandeshwar police on Friday August 17 evening.

The name of the woman has been reported as Nandita B B, a job placement consultant in Attavar. She has been involved in manpower supply trade for many years and done many placements in various firms.

She was also in charge of distributing the salary of the people so appointed. But she reportedly held over the payment during the past two months.

The aggrieved persons are said to have complained to the Pandeshwar police, who arrived and took Nandini into their custody.
