Mangalore, Aug 17: A half-day legal awareness and assistance camp for members of the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes will jointly be organized by Dakshina Kannada District Legal Services Authority, the Mangalore Bar Association and the Dakshina Kannada District Social Welfare Department at Manchi in Bantwal taluk near here on Sunday August 19.

This was announced here in a press conference by H M Bharatesh, principal district and sessions judge informed in press conference here on Thursday August 16.

Speaking to media persons he said that Baburao Mudbi, commissioner of social welfare department, will inaugurate the workshop.

T N Poojary and Udayananda, a member of the Mangalore Bar Association, will be the resource persons on the occasion, he said.

A K Monappa, former deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada and presently commissioner of department of public instruction, Dharwad, M Maheshwar Rao, deputy commissioner ; N Satheesh Kumar, superintendent of police, A M Kunajappa, chief executive officer of the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Pachayat and KMonappa Bhandary, president of Mangalore Bar Association will be the chief guest, he informed.
