Mangalore, Aug 16: A 21-year-old college student committed suicide by jumping into the well, at Neermarga on Wednesday Aug 15 night.
The deceased has been identified as Chitrakala (21), final year B Com student of St Agnes College here.
Though nothing more is known about her death and reasons behind commiting suicide, it is suspected that her failure in exams had shattered her. Depressed by this Chitrakala might have taken this extreme step, said sources.
Though her parents with the help of their neighbours lifted her up from the well immediately after she jumped into it, she had breathed her last by then.
