Moodbidri, Aug 16: Fr Vincent D’Souza, parish priest of Alangar church, an active office-bearer of Lion International District 324-D4, has been awarded as ‘Oustanding District Chairperson’ by the Lion district governor MJF Ln Prakash T Soans.

The award was conffered for the excellence in ‘Communal Harmony 2006-07’as a district chairperson.

Fr Vincent hailing from Karkala, Udupi district, completed his education at St Aloysius and B Th from Urbania University Rome and masters from Karnataka University. He served as parish priest at Barkur, Piusnagar, Mudarangady.  At present he is the parish priest of Alangar church.

This year 2007-08 he has been appointed as chairperson for ‘National Integration’ by present Ln governor MJF LN Dr B S Nagaprakash.
