French Muslim calls on to stop terrorism, video goes viral

Nov 23 (Agencies): A video of a French Muslim calling on his peers to fight extremism has gone viral on social media.

Bassem Braiki from Lyon posted a video on Facebook in which he makes an emotional plea to the Muslim community in France asking them to track the impostors who pretend to be Muslims and kill people.

"It’s us Muslims who are vindicating the values of the Republic. It is for us to refer anything suspicious to the authorities…. It is for us, Muslims of France, who have religion in our hearts, and obey Islam’s principles - a religion of peace and sharing, ” said Braiki, as translated by The Independent.

The video has been viewed more than seventy lakh times on Facebook and more than 95,000 times on YouTube.
