Margao, Aug 14: Erstwhile Lok Sabha member and current Navelim MLA Churchill Alemao has again hit out at Congress, saying that he would rather sit in the opposition than support the Congress government, adding that he knew very well their attitudes.

Alemao, who is currently camping in Delhi along with BJP, MGP and lone independent MLA over the issue of government forming, told this correspondent that he was his with Goa Democratic Alliance (GDA).

Rumours are making rounds in Salcete that,if GDA did nto get a chance to form the government in Goa, he (Alemao) would extend his support to a Congress-led government if invited. But Alemao dismissed the reports as mere rumours.

Alemao, who had played a vital role in toppling the BJP government two years ago as a Congress MP, said he was always of the opinion that former CM and sitting opposition leader Manohar Parrikar has really been a good administrator.

As the volatile political situation in the state continues, strong rumours about Alemao supporting the Congress-led government are still in circulation.
