Modi holds bilateral meet with Turkish president


Antalya (Turkey), Nov 16 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the second and final day of the G20 Summit in this Mediterranean resort city.

"Turkish connect...a bilateral meeting with the host of @G20Turkey2015, President @RT_Erdogan," PMO India tweeted.

"The Turkish host & the Indian guest! PM @narendramodi meets with President @RT_Erdogan for 1st bilateral of the day," Vikas Swarup, external affairs ministry spokesperson, tweeted.

The prime minister is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Spanish counterpart Mariano Rajoy later on Monday.

On Sunday, Modi held a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull during which all procedures of the civil nuclear agreement signed between India and Australia were completed.

He also met European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Sunday.
