World must unite to win war on terror: Pakistani minister

Islamabd, Nov 16 (IANS): The world must unite and put aside private interests to win the war against terrorism, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said.

Asif made the remarks on Sunday while condemning deadly terrorist attacks in Paris that killed at least 129 people and left 352 others injured, 99 of them in critical condition.

He said the Paris incident was deplorable, and added that Pakistan has gone through similar ordeals on several occasions, Geo News reported.

"Paradigms set during the Operation Zarb-e-Azb by Pakistan are exemplary for the whole world," he said.

"In order to win this war, the world needs to put aside religious, ethnic and national interests and must unite to fight the common enemy."
