Mangalore, Aug 13: The official website of Sacred Heart Church Suratkal, www.surathkalchurch.com will be launched on Wednesday August 15.

This meets a longstanding dream of parishioners residing in Suratkal and those who are abroad.

Catholic Sabha Honours Outstanding Students

Mangalore, Aug 13: A programme honouring outstanding students who had scored good marks in the public examination of SSLC, PUC, degree and post graduation was held in Sacred Heart Church Suratkal recently. The programme was organized by Catholic Sabha, Suratkal.  Catholic Sabha unit of Suratkal is celebrating the decennial celebration this year.

Parish Priest Fr J B D’Souza honoured the outstanding students by presenting them with a memento.  Fr J B D’Souza who spoke on the occasion stressed on the need of identifying the talented among the children, honouring them and thus encouraging them.  He complimented the Catholic Sabha for honouring the outstanding students.  Peter Paul D’Souza, vice-president of the parish council was present on the occasion. 

George Ligoury D’Souza, president of the Catholic Sabha welcomed the gathering.  Roydon Roche, secretary proposed the vote of thanks.  About 25 children were honoured on the occasion.
