Mangalore, Aug 12: Well-known literary critic and Konkani writer Stephen Quadros has been elected secretary of the Mangalore Diocesan Pastoral Council for the period of 2007-10.

Stephen Quadros has been working as lecturer in history at Kaup First Grade College. He has written many text books in history for students of various universities in Karnataka. He has also been recognized as the resource person in undivided Dakshina Kannada.

Other office-bearers:

Bishop Aloyisius Paul D’Souza (president), Fr Denis Moras Prabhu (vice-president), Fr Henry Sequeira (chancellor), Fr Joseph Lobo ( treasurer) and Susheel Noronha, L J Fernandes, Ivan D’Souza, Gerald D’Costa (executive committee members).
