Modi greets people on Gujarati New Year


New Delhi, Nov 12 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted people on the occasion of the Gujarati New Year.

"To all my dear sisters and brothers of Gujarat - Saal Mubarak! I pray for a joyful, peaceful and prosperous year ahead," Modi tweeted.

Saal Mubarak is a traditional Hindu Gujarati greeting reserved for use on Diwali and the Gujarati New Year, which falls a day after Diwali.
