Mangalore, Aug 10: Quit India Day celebrations was hosted by Mahatma Gandhi Peace Foundation here on Thursday August 9.

K U Shanbag deputy general manager of Syndicate Bank inaugurating the programme said that this is the time where we commanded all terrorists, traitors and corrupt officials to quit India.

He urged the students to take an active role in all social activities and said that students have a major role in achieving this target.

On this occasion, various competitions were organised for the school children in the taluk including elocution and carnatic music.

Purushotam Shetty presided over the function. Octavia Albuquerqe former MLC and A Sadananda Shetty chairman of Sri Devi Education Trust were the chief gust.
