Mangalore, Aug 9: The special excise teams set by the State excise police have seized huge amount of illicit liquor at Talapady check-post here on Thursday August 9 morning.
The police were conducting a check-up at Talapady as per the directives of excise SP B J Hiremath on Thursday morning when they found illicit liquor being transported to Kerala from Goa. A total of 300 litres of liquor was seized along with a Cielo car. The total worth of the seized liquor is estimated at Rs 50,000
The police also arrested Jimo Sebastian alias Devasya and Suresh Babu alias Shankar in this regard. The former is the driver of the vehicle
Excise police sub-inspector Shivaram Shetty and Kushalappa Gowda along with Vasanti conducted the raid with the help of staff.
