Short term Computer Courses: Short term crash courses in MS Office, Windows-2003, networking administration, Windows with Internet, desk top publishing, digital photography and photo editing for the benefit of educated unemployed youth will be conducted by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute.

The eligibility criterion for student is that they should have attained the age of 18 yrs and above. Details can be ascertained from the deputy director (in-charge) Br.SISI, Plot # 11, Industrial Estate, Yeyyadi, Mangalore-575 008 or on phone no.s: 2217696, 2217936.

Karnataka Journalists Welfare Union (KJWUB): Ministry for fisheries B Nagaraj Shetty will inaugurate the KJWUB office, the DK unit of the Union which will be held at Regal Plaza, Mission Street at 10.30 am.
Superintendent of Police N Sathish Kumar will be the guest on the occasion. M V Mohan Kumar state president of the union will preside over the function.

DK Sunni Centre:   A Sunni Centre will be inaugurated by Bekal Ibrahim Musiyar, Quazi, of Udupi. The president of Dakshina Kannada unit of the centre, K S Attakoya Thangal Kumbol will preside over the event which will be held at the Town Hall today at 2 pm in Udupi.

Awareness Meet by Syndicate Bank: The Syndicate bank, Shirva branch organized a Synd Vidya and Synd Vidhyarthi Awareness programmes at two colleges in Shirva namely M S R S College and St Mary’s College.
As per their press release Synd Vidya and Synd Vidhyarthi are the two educational loan products of Syndicate Bank and the basic objective of organising this campaign was to create awareness amongst the students of the financial assistance available from the bank to them for pursuing higher education.

Mahatma Gandhi Shanthi Prathishtana: District-In-Charge Minister B Nagaraj Shetty will inaugurate the ‘Quit India Day’ celebrations today at 10 am, at Mahatma Gandhi Shanthi Prathishtana, Tagore Park, Mangalore.
