New York, Aug 9: Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has elbowed out the acclaimed Johnny Depp to become the world's most powerful movie star in the new Guinness Book of World Records.

Depp had topped the list last year but Cruise edged past him to the top. Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston have come in joint first among Hollywood's leading ladies, World Entertainment News Network reported.
