Pakistan to get 34 free T-37 aircraft from Turkey


Islamabad/Ankara, Oct 28 (IANS): Pakistan and Turkey signed a defence cooperation agreement on Wednesday under which Turkey will provide Pakistan with 34 T-37 trainer-cum-fighter aircraft and its spare parts "on a gratis basis".

An agreement was signed after the conclusion of the 11th Meeting of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Military Dialogue Group (HLMDG) in Ankara, Dawn reported.

The agreement was signed by Pakistan's Director General (Defence Procurement), Major General Naveed Ahmed, and from the Turkish side by the Chief of Logistics, Major General Serdar Gulbas.
