Mangalore, Aug 5: The date of results of re-examination which was conducted for the failed students of the Pre University College ( PUC) in June this year has not yet publicized. This has left the students in a state of deep anxiety about their future.

Executive committee state president of Dakshina Kannada all college union Jolyas Taccode declared that if this matter was not resolved they would embark on a strong protest. He informed that the 2007-08 academic year courses would come to an end  by June 30. In spite of this fact the results have not been announced till date. This has put a question mark on the future academic prospects of the students, as the students will not be able to continue their education this academic year.

Taccode observed that the motive behind holding of examination is totally forgotten and this kind of problem has never occurred in any other University in the state. This he alleged is due to the gross negligence on part of the University vice chancellor and the concerned officers, he added.

Raising his concerns on the matter, Taccode stated that earlier a request had been made to the University vice chancellor but no action was taken, since it concerns the life of the students why the vice chancellor or the concerned official will worry, he opined.

Taccode finally requested the vice chancellor and the officers concerned not to play  with the life of students academically.
