Sunil Kumar informed that the four persons voted as the Kurkure Chai-Time Achievers will appear on over a million Kurkure packs, a favourite tea-time snack, all over India.

Kumar stated that this new initiative of PepsiCo aims at encouraging consumers to showcase their talent by creating various recipes with Kurkure. Moreover this will also be a great opportunity for the winners to get their photograph printed on over a 10 lakh Kurkure packs and gain fame as reward.

The rules of the contest state that in order to take part in the contest one has to send a creative and original Kurkure recipe to teatime@kurkure.co.in or to the post box address given on the Kurkure packs. One may even post the same on the website www.kurkure.co.in. If the recipe gets selected, the winner will be on a million Kurkure packs. Consumers also have an option of ‘creating their families’ (not necessarily biological family) wherein 4 adults (above the age 12) can participate. However, the only condition is that Kurkure should be one of the main ingredients and the preparation should be quick.

Expressing satisfaction, the Mangalorean winners who were present at the press meet said that they were overjoyed at being selected. While Sajan and Yashwanth are students of MCA at Srinivas Institute, Sadiq and Prakash are students of MCA in Mangalore university. They said they were friends when they were pursuing their degree courses.

One of the winners Yashwanth Shetty speaking on the occasion recounted that his group of friends had discussed about this contest casually and then decided to go ahead and mail their recipes to the company. However, they were shocked to receive a call from the PepsiCo and at first they could not believe that they had been selected. But they were overjoyed when their selection was confirmed. Even their parents at first did not believe that they were selected in the contest, revealed an ecstatic Sadiq.
