Mangalore, Aug 4: The Kavoor police have arrested 3 women of Shivnagar near Moodshedde with regard to a duplicate passport case here on Friday August 3.

The arrested have been identified as Vilasini, Asha and Shashikala of Shivnagar in Moodshedde.  All three of them have been remanded to judicial custody.

Vilasini had a passport earlier and she had even been to Kuwait.  Since she had not passed her SSLC, she had not got a job.  Hence she had returned home after sometime.  However, in order to get a job in Kuwait she thought of procuring a passport in her sister Anitha Poojary's name.

Vilasini had even filed the application for new passport. Accordingly all procedures including the polic inquiry had been completed for which her neighbours Asha and Shashikala had stood as witnesses.  Though certificates and all other documents furnished to procure were of Anita's, Vilasini's photo was affixed to the passport form.

But police came to know about it recently and arrested Vilasini along with Asha and Shashikala.
