Mangalore, Jul 31: A get-together programme of representatives of various parishes of Amcho Sandesh, a Konkani monthly, was held at Bishop’s House here on Sunday July 29.
Amcho Sandesh is published by Catholic Sabha and is edited by Dr Gerald Pinto.
It has over 6000 subscribers in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. Fr Vincent Monteiro, the spiritual director of Catholic Sabha inaugurated the programme. Noted Konkani writer Dr Edward Nazreth was the main speaker. He trained the participants on writing Konkani articles. Editor Dr Gerald Pinto informed the members on writing the reports for the newspapers. Sub-editor spoke about the responsibilities of the members.
Vice-president of the central committee presided. Nigel Pereira, secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
