Mangalore, Jul 30: Police arrested a person who was carrying hemp (locally called as ganja) worth Rs 2,000 at Amblamogaru bus stand near here on Sunday July 29.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Mohammed Hanif alias Kadri Hanif, a resident of Kadri. He was arrested after police recovered 400 grams of hemp from based on sure tip-off.
A case has been registered in the concerned police station.
Theft Case Reported at Mudukeraru
Mangalore, Jul 30: Some unidentified miscreants who gained entry into a house at Mudukeraru have decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 62,000. The sources said that the thieves entered the house after breaking open the kitchen window.
The Bajpe police have registered a case in this regard.
