Mangalore, Jul 29: The Vittal police have busted a racket involving r unauthorized refilling the LPG into automobiles at Kodange in Padnoor village and arrested one person, on Saturday Jul 28 morning.
They raided the house of Ismail (27) located at Kodange and detected the filling subsidized LPG into automobiles. The raid was conducted at the direction of Puttur ASP, Dr Harsha.
Sources informed that Ismail was involved in this illegal trade for quite long. Police have recovered a total of 17 cylinders including 8 LPH cylinders of Bharat Gas, 7 LPG cylinders of HP and 3 commercial cylinders besides 9 auto rickshaws and 3 Maruti Omni. The police have stated that Ismail was filling the LPG to the auto cylinders, with the help of advanced type of equipment
A case has been registered by Vittal ASI under the guidance of Bantwal circle inspector.
