Puttur, Jul 25: Kadaba auto drivers and owners' association under the leadership of Kadaba Jaycees and with the association of general public blocked road at Kadaba here on Monday July 23.

This disrupted the traffic on Uppinangady–Subrahmanya route for nearly two hours.

The road was blocked protesting the failure of local administration in preventing the seepage near APMC building which damaged the road.

The road was extensively damaged last year during the monsoon which posed hindrance to traffic. Public Works Department (PWD) repaired the potholes by filling them.  However more seepage has been witnessed this year, which has damage and disrupted the vehicular traffic.

The public was pushed into difficulties as the authorities failed to take necessary measures which resulted in the protest held near Ganesh building, on Monday.
