Mangalore, Jul 23: YCS unit of St Jacob’s Church, Kateel near here celebrated Vanamahotsava on Sunday July 22 at church premises.
Freshman Mendonca briefly explained about the importance of planting trees. Fr Alfred Pinto, dean of Kinnigoli deanery and parish priest of the Kateel church Fr Robert Crasta planted the saplings.
Lester Mathias, president of YCS Kateel unit welcomed the gathering. Crystal Rodrigues, secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Alex Tauro and Anita Coutinho, YCS animators were also present on the occasion.
