Mangalore, Jul 23: Manavika, students' cultural organization was inaugurated at Pompei PU College Aikala, near here on Monday July 23.

 Dr Mahabaleshwara Rao, principal of TMA Pai College was the chief guest on the occasion. President of Manavika and vice-principal of PU College Chandrayya Naik presided over the function."Siriganda,' handwritten magazine composed in a book was inaugurated at this time. In his speech Dr Mahabaleshwara Rao exhorted the students to give importance to the cultural activities along with their studies.

Everyone cannot become Poornachandra Tejaswi or Dr Shivarama Karanta, but one should have interest in the literature work and should encourage the writers. He advised the students to love, help, understand and encourage each other.

Chandrayya Naik welcomed the guests. B Sitaram Bhat introduced Dr Mahabaleshwara Rao to the students. Maria Monis proposed vote of thanks. Christina compered the programme. Cultural programmes were held after the stage programme.
