Indian, German firms ink five agreements


Benglauru, Oct 6 (IANS): Indian and German companies signed five agreements on Tuesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angel Merkel at the Indo-German Summit organised by Nasscom in association with Fraunhofer.

The first agreement was signed between Gujarat International Financial Finance Tec-City (GIFT) and Siemens to support smart urban mobile solutions for GIFT city.

Tata Power and Rhode and Schwartz signed the second agreement for collaboration in the field of Software Defined Radios (SDR).

OPG Power Ventures and IBC Solar inked an agreement for developing solar projects. The agreement entails creation of three special purpose companies as well.

The National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) and Infineon Corporation signed the fourth agreement in the field of electrical semi-conductors.

The fifth agreement was inked between HMT and Fraunhofer for collaboration in the field of machine tools.
