Mangalore, Jul 22:  In the wake of the ban imposed on arrack across the state, many spurious-liquor manufacturing units appear to have sprung up at various places, to take advantage of the situation.















On a reliable tip-off, Mangalore excise personnel raided a house called Noor Mahal located at Alankargudde near Talapady in the outskirts of the city and busted a advanced kind of unit manufacturing spurious liquor.

The liquor seized is said to be worth lacs of rupees. The raid was conducted upon orders from excise deputy superintendent N M Hussain.
