BANGALORE, Jul 22: Kannada film star MH Ambareesh, who is also minister of state for information and broadcasting, is all set to make a comeback on the silver screen with Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe.

Ambareesh quit the central council of ministers in February, but his resignation is yet to be formally accepted. He apparently has not yet withdrawn his resignation.

He is now the latest addition to the cast of 'Preeti Eke Bhoomi Melide', with actor-director Prem in the lead role.

Ambareesh is also appearing in a song sequence in 'Channa', directed by Umesh, with young Deepak as the hero.

The lyrics of this "pro-Kannada song", as described by the makers of Channa, have been penned by CV Shivashankar.
