Hotel Tamil Nadu expansion work to get over by year-end


Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Oct 5 (IANS): The expansion work at Hotel Tamil Nadu in Rameswaram belonging to the Rs.105.98 crore Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) is expected to be over by the end of this year, said an official.

The 56-room Hotel Tamil Nadu, located on the sea shore and near the main temple at Rameswaram is set to get 21 more rooms.

"We are expanding our occupancy strength by adding 21 more rooms at an outlay of around Rs.2 crore. The new rooms are expected to be ready by January 2016," M. Guneswaran, manager of the property told IANS.

"The hotel is one of the busiest and profitable properties of TTDC. Currently, our occupancy ratio is around 73 percent," he added.
