Margao, Jul 19: Forest Department officials have arrested 2 suspected accused in connection with poaching of spotted deer at Bondla Wild Life Sanctuary, Mollem.
According to sources, duo suspects from Ponda taluka had visited this Wild Life Sanctuary and by using the gun had shot the duo spot deer.
The arrested have been identified as Digamber Konekar and Rohidas Gaonkar. Forest Department along with local police is investigating the case.
Forest department has seized the car that had been used by the arrested. In the last 13 years 150 cases of poaching are registered here.
