China stocks close higher

Beijing, Sep 30 (IANS): Chinese shares closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.48 percent to end at 3,052.78 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.39 percent to close at 9,988.25 points, Xinhua news agency reported.

However, the ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.76 percent to close at 2,082.67 points.
