Mangalore, Jul 16: After a short break rains have started once again lashing coastal area from Sunday July 15 evening onwards.

The entire district received heavy rains on Monday July 16 morning too.  It has been raining cats and dogs in and around the city right from Monday morning. The overcast conditions are continuing signalling more rains in the coming hours.

As usual this time too, the residents and merchants of low-lying areas are the victims of heavy rain. In Kottara, about 15 shops and 7 houses have been inundated owing to heavy rains.

The rain water has entered many houses in Kavoor area. The road was blocked in Kodialguttu behind Empire Mall, owing to overflow of water and locals here faced difficulties to cross the roads.

Daijiworld photographer Dayanand Kukkaje as usual was the first to get some sharp spot photos for readers spread across the globe.
