Kundapur, Jul 13: The poems written by Gopalkrishna Adiga established a new tradition in literature, said Prof Rajendra Naik principal of Byndoor Government First Grade College.
He was delivering an endowment lecture on the literary contribution of Adiga by Dr Shantharam Literature and Cultural Forum at Bhandaskar’s College.
The poet had expectation and hopes in the post-independent India. However, he was disappointed with the developments of the country in the post-independence era. His feelings of disappointment and frustration in this regard are expressed in his poems.
The programme was chaired by Principal Porf Narayan Rao. Prof Rekha V Bannadi welcomed gathering and introduced the guests. Padekallu Ganapathi Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
