Mangalore, Jul 13: Dakshina Kannada district Labour Union will organize a blood donation camp on the account of its 7th anniversary on Saturday July 14, said Ivan D’Souza president of Dakshina Kannada District Labour Union here on Thursday July 12.

Apathy of the district administration regarding roads and traffic rules. 

Speaking at a press conference D’Souza said that the recent happenings regarding the road mishaps have created certain misunderstandings among the public.

Pointing out the assaults on a bus driver Rajesh, he said that the bad management of the system; traffic jams and the bad conditions of the roads hav turned out to be bane on the side of drivers and conductors.

The drivers drive the bus at a neck breaking speed to balance the time, he said. Eversince the time-keeping system has been introduced, they have to keep up the timing, he added.

The union felt the need of launching special buses for women on the routes where there is high demand for such buses. The problem of traffic jam owing to badly maintained parking system should be solved, he demanded.

Jayaraj secretary, Ismael, U D Ibrahim and N P Manuraj vice–presidents and Ivan D’Souza, president were present at the press meet.
