Mangalore, Jul 13: Dakshina Kannada Regional Transport Authority (RTA) will hold its review meeting in the office of the deputy commissioner here on July 28.

According to a press release, the first half an hour of the meeting is open for the public to submit their petitions regarding transport issues. It is understood that applications for new permits will not be entertained during the meeting.

The release stated that in the last meeting it was brought to the notice of all that unless government issues an order in this connection as per the central Motor Vehicles Act Rule 68 (3) (CA), no new permits will be issued.

Individuals concerned can personally participate in the meeting or through their advocates or other authorized persons.
