Udupi, Jul 12: A memorandum was submitted to the chief minister H D Kumaraswamy by a five-member delegation of Karnataka Janapara Vedike, through the deputy commissioner seeking judicial enquiry into the Chikmagalur Naxal encounter.

Karnataka Janapara Vedike, an NGO was represented by their leaders of Udupi district G Rajashekar, Sriram Diwana, Rasul Katpadi, K S Updadya and Damodar Jathana. 

The urged the authorities to pay a compensation of Rs 10 lac each to the family of the victim. They also demanded that relevant cases to be booked against the police.
