Mumbai, Jul 10: Marigold is the story of a young American actress Marigold Lexton (Ali Larter) who travels to India to shoot for a low-budget Hollywood film.
But her film stalls due to certain developments and the grieving Marigold is forced to be part of a Bollywood musical. It is then that she meets Prem (Salman Khan) the film’s choreographer and instantly connects to him.
She eventually ends up falling in love with Prem, but things get complex when she discovers Prem has a fiancé (Nandana Sen). It turns out Prem’s life isn’t as simple as Marigold had thought it to be and the arrival of her own boyfriend Barry doesn’t do any favours either. Her experiences in India change Marigold’s outlook towards life and love and she ends up finding her perfect soulmate.
The film tells the story of a woman who goes through cultural diversity and ends up falling in love and discovering a new meaning to her life.
