Mangalore, Jul 10: Inaugurating the literary club of Chinmaya High School, H Prabha Kamath, Hindi lecturer of Canara College stated that good literurature can influence the society, as it is the mirror of the society.

In the course of her speech she also advised the students to develop basic qualities (within themselves) in order to become laudable Indian citizens. She called upon the students to improve the society by contributing good literature. 

Students should set an example and should be the role models to others in the society, by practicing what they preach, she averred.

Vimala R Rao headmistress of the School welcomed the gathering. Sahitya Sangha student president Sahil honored the chief guest by offering a bouquet. The programme was conducted by Sumana. 

Sharmila coordinated the programme while Arpitha proposed the vote of thanks.
