Mangalore, Jul 10: A meeting of the programme officers of National Service Schemes (NSS) of Mangalore University was held in the Dr K Shivarama Karanth auditorium at the university college here, on Saturday July 9.

Around 75 programme officers participated. Dr Lynda Christie joint director of the collegiate education department released the ‘NSS guidelines’.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the NSS has been highlighting the university’s name at the national-level by executing various programmes for the youth. “Let there be a healthy youth for a mighty nation”, she exhorted the gathering.

Mangalore university NSS coordinator professor Gopal delivered the introductory address. Nityananda Gaonkar, Dr Vishwanath Badikana and Hariprasad Shetty the district coordinators of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu were also present on the occasion.
