Mangalore, Jul 10: The Kerala-Karnataka border town of Talapady witnessed a ghastly accident in the late night of Sunday July 8 in which 3 persons died.

The deceased have been identified as Ligory Lobo (55), a civil engineer in the city, Bhagwan Alva (30), a city-based hotelier and Rohan (24), a driver.  All three of them were the residents of Kanvateertha near Talapady here.

They were on their way home (Kanvateertha) on Sunday night riding a mobike when a private bus coming to the city from Kasargod knocked them down.  Rohan was riding the bike, while two others were riding pillion.  As a result all three of them sustained serious injuries.  While Bhagwan and Ligory died on the spot, Rohan breathed his last in Omega Hospital here later.

The tragedy has come as a rude shock to people who knew all three of them.  Moreover, since they all hailed from Kanvateertha surroundings, the locals are yet to come in terms with the tragedy.
