Mangalore, Jul 9: ‘Marana Shasana’ a novel authored by P V Pradeep Kumar, a famous novelist, was released by K Bhuvanabhirama Udupa, editor of “Yugapurusha” monthly in a press conference here on Monday July 9.
 
The novel was published in serial format in ‘Mangala, a well-known Kannada weekly, and it is published with the help of Hemantha Sahitya Prakashana of Bangalore.

Pradeep Kumar has written eight novels. Some of his novels like ‘Mrudalala Diary’ and Chandamarutha were published in Mangala. One of his novels Abedhya will be published in Sudha, a Kannada weekly as photo comic.

He has also authored other novels like Bale Thuguyyale, Rana Vilya, Marana Garbha and Chandravathi Estate.  

The novel has been selected to make a movie based on it. Sudeep, a well-known sandalwood actor, will play the leading role in this movie, a press note stated.

Speaking to media persons, Pradeep said that he is indebted to ‘Mangala’, a Kannada weekly for providing golden opportunity and encouragement to grow in the field.

‘Rahasya Gumpu’ written in 1985 was the maiden work of P V Pradeep Kumar. The novel Mrudalala Diary got an award in the competition held by Mangala later. This encouraged Pradeep Kumar to contribute to the world of novels, the press note stated.

The discussion on the released novel will be held in Balmatta Junior College. The novel would be put to criticism by journalist and writer K V Krishna Das. Papers will be presented by Vidya Ganeshan, Poetess Shwetha Jain, Malathi Shetty Manur and Mallika Shetty.

Shiv Kumar, district president of licensed electrical contractors association was present at the press conference.
