Udupi, Jul 7: A house was completely gutted owing to sudden fire at Kote Road in Mallar village near Kaup here on Friday July 6.
The house belonged to a certain Mohammad Ismail and loss has been estimated at Rs 85,000.
Though the cause for sudden fire is unknown, sources said that it was owing to short circuit. Fire brigade immediately rushed to the spot and helped in extinguishing fire.
Mallar village panchayat president Satish Shetty, Kaup revenue inspector Satyananda Shetty, village accountant Shyamsunder and village panchayat member Sudhama Shetty visited the spot.
