Mangalore Jul 7:
A pass percentage of 78.3 has been recorded in the Mangalore University BA/BSc/BCom degree exam results which were published here on Friday. According to a press release, out of a total 9,185 students who appeared for the exams, 7,195 have passed.

As usual, girls have made a better performance this year too with an 84.31 per cent pass as against the 68.04 of boys. While 4,897 out of the 5,808 girls passed, 2,298 boys out of the total 3,377 could hit the target.

Among the districts, Udupi has come on top of the list with 80.71 pc pass as against Dakshina Kannada’s 79.46 and Kodagu’s 61.19 pc. A total of 2,360 out of 2,924 students who appeared for the exams in Udupi passed while in DK it is 4,365 out of 5,493 and in Kodagu 470 out of 768.

BA

A total of 4,051 students appeared for BA degree examinations from all the three districts out of which 3,400 passed forming a pass percentage of 83.92.

BSc

The pass percentage for BSc degree examinations is 77.77. Out of 1,705 students who appeared for the BSc examinations, 1,326 passed.

BCom

For BCom degree exams, the pass percentage is 72.03. A total of 3,429 students appeared and 2,469 passed.

BSW

BSW rated the highest pass percentage of 96.55. Out of the 87 students who appeared for BSW degree exams, 84 passed.
